Strange symptoms and sleepless nights.
Seems to be the way as I slowly return to my version of normality. Still having to be careful about what and when and how much I eat as the insides are still a bit tender and not at all recovered from this experience.

All done all twenety treatments are now complete. Now I have to wait eleven weeks to find out how successfull this has all been.
Hopefully in a week or so I shall be free of the side effects and starting to be normal (well for me) ..

Two tooo go

Yes it is true only two more radiation treatments to go. I am feeling especially tired today but I think I can make it … How melodramatic.
Two to go excellent. I shall be looking forward to the next week and a half getting back to the world of normality and not feeling crap all the time.
I was feeling good on the weekend and wired up the shed office for TV and then mowed the back lawn now, there was a bit of a mistake. The next couple of days were very much below average as it made my nausea levels rise quite a lot. Oh well another of life’s lesson learned.

Have briken the back of this thing now!! Wow stage two which just means a smaller area to be radiated.
Feeling quite well today, not too tired or too sick in the guts..Only 4 more to go and I shall be free of this curse…

Radiation Treatment 14

Fourteen down and only 6 more to go, 2 with this phase and four with phase2. Phase 2 seems to be to treat a smaller area and maybe, jut maybe it will not be across my stomach and not make me feel so well Crap.
It has taken several weeks but I have finally learned to eat just enough it seems the secret is to drink a lot of water and eat a small amount of food.

Radiation Day Something or other

So now I am in the swing of this radiation thing. The weather is bleak and so is my attitude. Really it is my stomach that has a bleak outlook. I guess that as this goes on things will stabilize. Only 3 more full treatments to go and then we go to phase two which is a treating a smaller areas and will be lees intrusive..I hope.

All these days are kinda blurring into one. Anyway I am doing ok so far a bit tired and I do find that a nap each day helps to get em through. More than halfway there now at 12 completed treatments out of 20 so I have been assured that this is the worst I should feel.
And just how do I feel, well it feels like a second rate hangover without the headache bit, although a touch of sinusitis sort of gave me a small one of those.
Now if could just stop the Neighbor form spitting 75 time a day that would be a good thing..

Radiation Day 11

So here we are another day. Apart form being rudely awoken at 05:30 by Eloise the day is just fine. Maybe a slight feeling of unrest in the stomach department but not enough to stop us all going tot he new Cafe at Carrs Park for a breakfast.
The kids were mostly well behaved however Tom did make a considerable mess of himself with a bacon & egg roll.

Radiation Day 10

Still feel like an importer still no bad or evil side effects. Maybe I am a bit tired but who can tell for sure with two little kids.
Any way only got half a treatment yesterday as the machine broke down half way through, this does raise the question of why the treatment rooms are so cold, try lying still in there for 25 mins’ and you will see what I mean..

Radiation day 9

I feel somewhat of an impostor at this stage, no nausea, no particular bad effects and nothing except maybe a bit of lethargy to report.

I had expected to be feeling like a minced sausage at this stage but No I am doing well.

I am pleased that the treatment and care that I am getting has enabled me to motor on through this however, I can not help but feel that maybe I am being a bit too optimistic..

Time will tell.
